In good health, and in good style!
March 18

I have long known the Japanese to be a very considerate people, so much so that when they are not feeling well, they don what we think of as surgical masks to inhibit the spread of germs to their neighbors.

I’ve also heard it said that the Japanese, in matters of style, can be very brand conscious, often dressing head to toe with a favorite designer.

All this came together for me today, when I spotted a middle-aged woman, elegantly turned out in her Burberry scarf and matching Burberry-pattern surgical mask.
