30 years ago, at age 27, Danny Meyer launched Union Square Cafe, pioneering a new breed of American eatery pairing imaginative food and wine with caring hospitality, comfortable surroundings, and outstanding value. USC became a fixture of the Union Square community, inspired a generation of restaurants throughout America, and birthed a succession of widely beloved, award-winning restaurants and chefs. Throughout 2015, the 30th anniversary year of Union Square Cafe, we will honor the team, guests, community, and suppliers who became our family and helped make USC what it is today. We are excited to share our lineup of 30th anniversary festivities, and look forward to welcoming you to partake!
The final countdown on 16th Street is on! Beginning on Tuesday, December 1st, join us at dinner for a three-course, prix fixe menu for $85, culminating in our final night of service on 16th Street - Saturday, December 12th. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available now. To secure a reservation, call us at 212-243-4020. Lunch will be served a la carte as usual throughout these twelve days, with our reservations book opening 28 days in advance.
To celebrate 30 years of sourcing and serving the finest of what the Union Square Greenmarket has to offer, we are launching a series of four seasonal dinners highlighting celebrated dishes from throughout our three decades. Chef Carmen is digging into the recipe archives to present an array of favorite dishes from the '80's, '90's, and '00's.

What: 4-course prix fixe menu, with each course highlighting winter Greenmarket ingredients and a different decade of USC

In 2015, we're hosting special Morning Market Meetings to honor this 30-year tradition of cooking demonstrations and talks from Greenmarket farmers. Our team is curating all-star panels of our favorite farmers, presided over by Danny, and Chef Carmen is planning a special culinary program.
When: The next Morning Market Meeting takes place on Wednesday, October 21st from 8:00 - 10:15 AM
What: The event begins with coffee and baked goods and features a panel discussion, cooking demonstration from Chef Carmen, tasting of the demo'd dish, and a Greenmarket tour

Our wine team has gone deep in our cellars to curate an exceptional, iconic list of 30 whites and 30 reds, offered by the bottle, from winemaker friends we've developed over the past 30 years. View the list>
Miss the Lemon Pepper Duck or Bombolotti Al Modo Mio? Starting in April, celebrated favorites from the USC menu archives like these will be at the tip of your tastebuds, on a special 'Greatest Hits' Chef's Table Menu crafted by Chef Carmen. An homage to the favorite flavors of USC, this customizable menu will be available family-style in our front cafe area for dinner, lunch and brunch, and accommodates up to 14 guests.
The experience includes a personal consultation with our wine team. Menus start at just $55 per person for 3 courses at lunch and $85 per person at dinner.
